The Big Ring Bicycle Club

Welcome to The Big Ring Bicycle Club at The Inn at Cooperstown.  Sherrie and Marc Kingsley, owners of the inn, are passionate about cycling and have created a terrific bicycle clubhouse for the inn’s guests to use.

Bring your bicycle and be inspired by the beautiful scenery and peaceful rural roads of upstate New York.  Beginning cyclists to the most experienced will find some of the best cycling in the northeast.  From rolling hills and pastoral fields to epic climbs and exhilarating descents, the Cooperstown area has it all!  Stay at the inn and receive access to the bicycle clubhouse amenities as well as assistance with route planning.  Fully supported ride options are available for groups of five or more cyclists.

The bicycle clubhouse, a renovated shoe cobbler shop, has been cleverly outfitted with all the amenities a cyclist could want and then some.  There are plenty of bicyclestorage hooks as well as cubbies for gear.  Take advantage of the maintenance stand, tools, tire pump, and cleaning supplies to get your bike ready for the ride.  While in the clubhouse, crank up some tunes on the surround sound stereosystem or watch a cycling DVD on the flat screen television.  Need a beverage for the ride?  Grab a water or sport drink from the stocked refrigerator.  After the ride relax at the pub table with a well-earned beer from our local Belgium brewery, Brewery Ommegang.  And, when you’re ready to explore Cooperstown, bicycles and gear can be securely locked in the clubhouse until you’reready to ride again.

The bicycle clubhouse is available to all cycling guests staying at The Inn at Cooperstown. For special discounts and goodies become a member of The Big Ring Bicycle Club.  Membership includes a membership card, Big Ring Bicycle Club jersey, water bottle, and discounts at the inn and local merchants.

Membership cost:  $115.00, valid for 2 years. $15 annual renewal fee starting year 3.
