Double Day Field and batting range

Visit the historic baseball field where it’s said the first game was ever played. Doubleday Field now hosts the Hall of Fame game every year and is one of Cooperstown’s top destinations. Located next door to Doubleday Field are the batting cages. Take a swing at the TRU-PITCH batting machines – used by the major league teams or check out one of the video games.

Glimmerglass Queen Boat Tour

Take a tour of Otsego Lake aboard the Glimmerglass Queen Boat Tour. Enjoy a one-hour narrated tour around Otsego Lake while sipping on your favorite beverage from the bar. Tickets go on sale for each cruise 15 minutes prior to departure, so reservations are not necessary for normal tour times.

If you are willing to go the extra mile, a 20-minute walk brings you to the Farmers’ Museum. Visitors will enjoy a unique opportunity to experience 19th-century rural and village life firsthand. A favorite among all Cooperstown attractions, the museum includes a working farmstead, a recreated historic village, the Empire State Carousel, and more.
