For the first time ever, the January 2018 Bed and Brew Package is all about “Innovation at Ommegang”! Brewmaster, Phil Leinhart and Innovation Manager, Justin Forsythe will share four beers from Ommegang’s pilot system. As a guest for the January Bed and Brew package you will be tasting brews that have not yet been released to the public! The innovation brews will be paired with delicious courses served at the gourmet beer and food pairing dinner – the highlight of the Bed and Brew weekend package.
The pilot system at Ommegang provides the brewers with the opportunity to bring ideas to life through ongoing process improvements and trials. As the Innovation Manager, Justin says “our innovation program focuses on the development of beers that as a team we’ve decided we’d like to pursue for large scale production” and also “allows me to occasionally brew something on a whim that I believe could be of interest to the rest of the team.” Prior to his current role as Innovation Manager, Justin was Lead Shift Brewer and Cellarman at Ommegang. He has leveraged this experience into the development of new recipes on the pilot system. If you’ve tried Sirens’ Song, Hopstate, or Short Sleeve Saison you know how awesome his work is. Justin tells us “it’s great to be creative and develop beers from scratch, and then be able to witness other people enjoy those beers.”
Come taste the exclusive innovation goodness and be part of this very special, one-time only weekend package with Ommegang! Space is limited so grab your spot today!
